Update on April 18, 2016:
South State, Inc. General Contractors will be closing the following roads:
Monday 4/18 & Tuesday 4/19 – Gloucester Pike to Williams Avenue for Water Main work
Wednesday 4/20 – Friday 4/29 – E. Atlantic to Gloucester Pike for Water Main services/tie ins
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BARRINGTON BUSINESSES ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING CONSTRUCTION. WE APPRECIATE YOUR CONTINUED PATIENCE AS THE REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED.
IMPORTANT—starting Wednesday, March 23, traffic will be detoured while NJAWC replaces the water main. We originally thought alternating lanes of traffic would be open but that has changed and traffic will be detoured. Traffic coming from Runnemede will be detoured down Gloucester Pike and traffic coming from Haddonfield will be detoured down Atlantic Avenue. The detour plan will alternate as the project moves along. The first phase of detour will be from Haines Avenue to Gloucester Pike and according to the schedule we got from the County will continue until April 10. As we get more information we will provide updates. Camden County will be doing a reconstruction of Clements Bridge Road starting March 28. The project will run from Haines Avenue and go all the way into Runnemede. Although the County project will begin March 28, New Jersey American Water will be doing some preparation work starting March 21. While the County has the roadway open, NJAWC will be replacing some water mains. The project is expected to be complete by July 28. There will absolutely be traffic difficulties during construction. Clements Bridge Road will be detoured starting March 23 and will continue to be detoured through June 6. Please expect significant delays and be patient or find an alternate route for your daily travels. This project is sorely needed as Clements Bridge has been in disrepair for quite some time. For more information you can contact Camden County, Anthony O’Toole, at 856-566-2974 or 2980. To contact NJAWC regarding their work, call Edward Opczynski III at 856-764-6924.
