“Citizen Service Act” signed into law:
Residents can now serve on Borough Boards and Commissions
The recent enactment of P.L. 2009, c.141 (S-1426/A-2784), also known as the “Citizen Service Act” allows citizens to apply for service on municipal entities, boards and commissions. The law was enacted on October 19, 2009. If you are interested in serving on a municipal authority, board or commission, you must fill out a one-page ‘Citizen Leadership Form’ and submit it to the Clerk’s Office.
To apply to be a member of the Planning Board, Shade Tree Commission, or Board of Health for the Borough, fill out this Citizen Leadership Form.
