The Barrington Civic Association is a separate entity from the Borough of Barrington. The Civic Association is a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization who acts independently from the Borough and has it’s own elected officers.
Mission Statement
Founded in 1991 with a deep love for our town and a desire to strengthen the bonds that hold it together, the Barrington Civic Association is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to fostering a stronger, more inclusive sense of belonging for all residents.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring people together through engaging events and meaningful support. Throughout the year, we host a variety of community gatherings—festivals, seasonal celebrations, volunteer opportunities, and family-friendly activities—that celebrate the spirit and diversity of our town. These events not only create joy and connection but also serve as a platform for neighbors to meet, collaborate, and build lasting relationships.
In addition to our event programming, we are committed to helping those facing hardship. We coordinate seasonal drives and ongoing donation efforts to provide essential items such as food, clothing, and basic household necessities to individuals and families in need. By addressing both social and practical needs, we strive to uplift every corner of our community.
Rooted in compassion and civic pride, the Barrington Civic Association continues to grow as a trusted and vital part of our town’s fabric – ensuring that everyone has a place, a voice, and the support they deserve.

The Civic Association organizes the annual “Giving Trees” project, which provides holiday gifts to local families in need. Support comes through both monetary contributions and donations of toys & clothing. The project runs from early November through Christmas, and more information is available on the Civic Association’s Facebook page.
