CONTAINERIZED VEGETATIVE WASTE &
CONTAINERIZED LEAF PICK UP
Vegetative Waste pick up will continue on Mondays during leaf season, you can also put out your containerized leaves along with your containerized vegetative waste at the same time for pick up. Vegetative waste is defined as grass clippings, sticker balls, acorns, pinecones and viney type materials such as ivy, laurel and plant clippings. Vegetative waste can be put in 20-gallon containers not weighing more than 50 lbs. Remember plastic bags are now prohibited due to Ordinance #649. Please no dirt or sod. Green vegetative waste containers can be obtained at the Borough Hall for a nominal fee. Due to the heavy volume your pick up may not be completed on the scheduled pickup day, just leave at curb and it will be picked up the following day.
FALL LOOSE LEAF COLLECTION SCHEDULE
Beginning the first week in October, the Borough is divided into three (3) districts for the purpose of loose leaf collection. Each district will receive one collection per week. The districts and the scheduled collection dates are listed below.
Loose-leaf pickup season will begin the first week of October and end the last week of December, weather permitting. Leaf signs will be posted the week prior to the district’s scheduled pick up. Please place the leaves on the park strip between the curb and sidewalk. Do not put sticks, rocks, or any other debris in leaf piles, as this can cause damage to the machines and create safety concerns for our employees. If debris is left in piles, the pile will not be picked up. Leaf crews will make one pass-through on your scheduled pickup week and will not return due to leaves being put out late. Due to NJDEP storm water regulations and Borough ordinances, loose leaves are not to be placed within 10 feet of any storm drain inlet along the street.
