We wanted to alert/update everyone on the upcoming Independence Day Festivities in Barrington. We have some minor adjustments for those near the parade route, and we wanted to let you know as early as possible so you can prepare.
The parade route is mostly the same, the parade will go up Reading and end at 2nd Ave. Previously it has turned onto 3rd Ave and ended at 3rd and Haines.
We expect a lot of community organizations and emergency vehicles to be contributing to the parade, and we need places to line them up safely. Barrington Ave will be closed off at Albany (overpass) before 5:30pm. This year we will line up floats/vehicles on the EVEN sides of the 100 blocks of Albany and Kingston Aves. We will put No Parking signs out to reflect the needs, so please move cars into driveways or onto the ODD side of those streets.
